Our History

The Alfred Hospital Nurses League was established in 1918 by senior nurses to ensure that nurses could establish a permanent link with their nursing school.

 

Our Objectives

To bring together past and present nurses who trained, worked or are currently working at the Alfred Hospital with a view to meeting at stated intervals to promote good fellowship and an exchange of ideas. 
 
To develop and maintain the Nursing Archive to chronicle the history of nursing at the Alfred Hospital.

Membership

How to apply

 

Any nurse holding the Alfred Hospital General Nursing certificate shall be eligible to apply to become a member.

 

A registered nurse with a minimum of one year's service at the Alfred Hospital shall be eligible to apply to become a member.

  • Request a Membership Subscription form by email, scan and return by email (no form is required for renewals unless there is a change of details)

  • Pay subscription by credit card per phone

  • EFT subscription payment to BSB: 033-079  Account No: 114991. Add name and 'M'ship' to deposit information.
